Myler Stainless Steel 5″ HBT Shank, MB 03T Twisted Comfort Snaffle with Copper Roller, Level 1 The MB 03T is a Myler twist version of the traditional French link or lozenge mouthpiece commonly used in snaffle bits with an added copper roller. The MB 03T rotates onto the tongue, applying tongue pressure, but because the mouthpiece is curved, it wraps around the bars and lips instead of pinching. The barrel in the center applies approximately the same pressure on the tongue as a traditional three-piece mouthpiece, however, the barrel distributes the pressure more kindly and creates Independent Side Movement™. The MB 03T twist has no pronounced sharp edges, and the twist is a mirror on each side of the center barrel to provide a balanced feel for horse and rider. Sweet iron mouthpiece oxidizes and encourages salivation. For more tongue relief, step up to the MB 04. The 5″ HBT shank is stainless steel and slightly curved back, with a flat-top purchase and a rein ring. The mouthpiece has a fixed attachment. The HBT shank has the patented Independent Swivel Cheek, where the purchase, mouthpiece and shank all move independently of each other. The purchase is slightly angled away from the cheek to avoid rubbing. It has an indirect (curb) rein action designed to be used with a curb strap which attaches to the purchase. The HBT shank uses the combination of the fixed cheek and fixed rein to apply pressure to the mouth, chin and poll.
